Dark Horse Productions, LLC is a boutique film production company established in 2017. Our LA team, led by founder Amber Ford, is a group of multi-faceted creative collaborators who share a passion and commitment to excellence in developing and producing innovative and transformative content.
amber fordowner | visionary | executive producerAmber was born and raised in Dallas, TX where she first dove into acting in her high school's intensely focused magnet theatre program. She went on to get her Bachelor of Science in Physiology, graduated with honors, and worked several years in clinical Physical Therapy and as an ACSM certified personal trainer. This award-winning dancer and choreographer, who has toured the US and Europe, moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue dance and her love for the visual arts quickly expanded to film. She has produced dance tours, music videos and film and is now also writing and directing her own content alongside acting and designing fight choreography.

noemi torresdevelopmentAn immigrant from Guadalajara, Mexico, Noemi moved to Seattle in 1990 at the age of 13. She began acting at Shoreline Community College and later transferred to the University of Washington. In 2003 she moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting dreams. She has been a member of the Frida Kahlo Theatre and performed in the famous play “Conversations 'Bout the Girls” by Sonia Jackson. She currently manages several filming locations, serves on the West Hollywood Public Facilities Commission and runs a telecommunications company. Congressman Adam Schiff deemed her “Woman of the Year” in 2017. She happily resides in West Hollywood with her rescue pit bull Sadie.

melinda bat emanexecutive producer | musicianMelinda is an award-winning concert pianist, teacher and a black belt in KungFu. A native to California, she grew up performing and competing on the piano and tenor banjo. She earned her B.A. in Music from Cal State Dominguez Hills and her M.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Cal State Northridge. She served consecutively on the faculties at Mount St. Mary's College and Moorpark College for sixteen years. More recently she edited a 4-book piano method series, "Upper Hands Piano." She now runs her own private teaching studio in Frankenmuth, MI, enjoys horseback riding and kayaking and is an active member of MTAC and MTNA.
